Verb, it was very touching to watch. We have had a sad couple of days; my mother-in-law died last night and so all the good feelings and pride are mixed in with grief and anxiousness over where and when the services will be, how our daughter will get home, etc. I'm so happy about Obama, though. It feels like a big weight off.
I'm awfully sorry about your mother-in-law. It seems offensive that death creates so much additional anxiety because of all the busy-work it brings, doesn't it?
I wasn't there, but apparently there is a lot of complicated maneuvering when you want to have a catholic service and a military burial. The funeral won't be until at least next Tuesday, which seems like forever from now.
