The orchid tree

My bauhinia is nearly in full bloom now, and I wanted you to see why I won't let them chop it down! For a month or two in high summer, it creates a "wall of bloom" for me to look out on from my kitchen and living areas.

You can certainly see why the pool dude hates it, though. All the spent blossoms fall straight in.

If you click the pic to enlarge, you can see how many tiny blossoms there are, and several floating around in the pool.

Beautiful!
I have a trumpet vine planted along the fence around our pool, and I get the same complaints from Keith. But, I love the orange flowers on it, so I won't take it down.

Your photos are really good, Verb. I wouldn't let anyone cut down that orchid tree, either.

I'm going to visit you just for your pool, Verbie. Um....I mean....I'll say hi to you and all that...but I really want to jump in your pool.
