I'm so sorry. It will hurt for a long time, perhaps.

It's been 2 1/2 years since my sweet Gracie died. I still have trouble looking at the kitties up for adoption in PetsMart.

I am so sorry. What a sweet sweet face and what joy he brought to you.
Always wish there was some way to make it all better.

I'm so sorry. Poor pumpkin. At least it sounds like his passing was peaceful and painless. I'm sure he had a great life. Sweet little face.

We got him, full grown, from the Denver Dumb Friends League. He had been left at a rest stop out in eastern Colorado somewhere. Some nice family drove him into Denver and brought him to the DFL. He was terribly thin and weighed less than six pounds. No telling how long he'd been living at the rest stop. We took him into one of the "meet and greet" cubicles and sat on the floor with him. He walked up to each one of us and licked us on the nose. That was it.

We took him home and fattened him up nicely (though he was back to six pounds at the last), and loved him for over 15 years. He was at least 17, and may have been older. So he had a nice life, and a long one.

RIP, little buddy.
