Pride and Prejudice and Zombies

I'm reading the most delightfully absurd book I've ever encountered--titled above. It's making me laugh a lot.

Imagine Elizabeth Bennet strangling an evil ninja with his own intestines, and then eating his heart.

That gives you something of an idea of this book.

Although possibly the best part is the collection tongue-in-cheek book group discussion questions at the end. An example:

"8. Vomit plays an important role in Pride and Prejudice and Zombies...Do the authors mean for this regurgitation to symbolize something greater, or is it a cheap device to get laughs?"

Or:

"6. Some critics have suggested that the zombies represent the authors' views toward marriage--an endless curse that sucks the life out of you and just won't die. Do you agree...?"

We saw this at B&N on Wednesday, and it looked great! but I'd have to reread P&P first.

Regarding the just proposed Warner Bros. movie, Pride and Prejudice and Zombies, is Johnny Depp too old now to play Mr. Darcy?

Is Britney Spears too old to play Lydia?

Who do you like for Elizabeth?

At least this is one story whose plot wouldn't drastically change if cell phones had existed.

Imagine how different the Bible would be if cell phones and texting had existed. I think about it all the time!!!
