I got some books for Christmas. I've only read half of one of them so far--The Magician King, by Lev Grossman. It's good, a sequel to The Magicians.
I also read the third book of the Hunger Games series. Yes, it's teen lit. Still a very entertaining read. I wanted to finish the series before the movie comes out, which I think will be any day now.
Speaking of movies, I saw Dragon Tattoo and loved it, and it made me wonder exactly why I was unable to get going on the book. I'm going to give it another try, now that I know that the plot will be engaging once I get past all the Swedish names...
That's all I've got.

hello to you!
looking forward to spring and much excitement. joe will retire, grandson will be born, daughter will graduate with her law enforcement degree.
until then, baking, cooking, golfing when possible and enjoying life.
That sounds like the most blissful life imaginable--like every dream coming true all at once!
i am quite happy at the moment and only thinking one day at a time. it is nice. and i have moved beyond the, as they say, change of life. those around me are much happier. ;)
I'm right there with ya, kiddo. No complaints here, either--from anyone!
Hello, friend Verbie!
Here in flyover country, we are doing fine too.
Hi, Pete! So happy to hear that things are doing well in your neck of the woods. Tell Sunflower I said hi.
Hi Verb, we're plugging along here. I have a bunch of projects going for work and am planning a bunch of home improvements, including some severe juniper extermination and, I hope, a new patio since our deck is about rotted out. Glad to see so many good reports from all my old friends.
Verb - I loved Dragon Tattoo also...the book and the movie. The book is very slow and confusing in the beginning...but give it another shot.
Right now I'm reading Night Circus and really loving it!
